Itinerary
This tour begins and ends in Marrakech and includes one night in Rabat, three nights in Fes (with a visit to Chefchaouen), two nights in the Merzouga Desert, one night in the Dades Gorges, and three nights in Marrakech.
Day 1
Arrival in Marrakech.
Arrival in Marrakech. Airport reception and transfer to your accommodation. A free day to rest after the journey and acclimatize to the city. Opportunity for an initial stroll around the area near your hotel or riad.
In the afternoon, optional: an initial introduction to the Marrakech medina and the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2
Marrakech – Casablanca
After breakfast, departure towards Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital. A road trip across Morocco's central plains, featuring typical agricultural landscapes.
Arrival in Casablanca and a city tour, including the impressive... Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Its 210-meter minaret is visible from across the city and features spectacular modern architecture.
Walk through the Casablanca city center, We will also visit the Habous neighborhood and the central market. Corniche, the city's seafront promenade overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Accommodation in Casablanca. Free time in the afternoon to explore the modern city, its cafés, and its cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Day 3
Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
Departure for Rabat, the administrative capital of the kingdom. We will visit the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Important monuments of the city. Walk through the Kasbah of the Udayas with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.
We continued our journey towards the Rif Mountains to reach Chefchaouen, the famous "blue pearl" of Morocco. This unique city is known worldwide for its blue-painted streets and houses, which create a magical and photogenic atmosphere.
Arrival in Chefchaouen in the afternoon. First walk through the Blue Medina to admire the unique architecture and relaxed atmosphere of this mountain town. The shades of blue contrast beautifully with the Rif Mountains.
Accommodation in Chefchaouen. Dinner and an overnight stay in this unique city that will transport you to a fairytale world.
Day 4
Chefchaouen – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
Free morning in Chefchaouen to explore its blue alleyways and the local market at a more leisurely pace, and to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Rif Mountains. A perfect opportunity for photography and shopping for local handicrafts.
Departure for Meknes, one of Morocco's four imperial cities. We will visit the magnificent El Hedim Square, the impressive Bab Mansour Gate considered the most beautiful in Morocco, and the Royal Stables of Moulay Ismail.
We continued towards the Roman ruins of Volubilis, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These archaeological remains from the 3rd century BC are the best-preserved in Morocco and feature spectacular mosaics.
Arrival in Fez at the end of the day. Accommodation in Fez—in the heart of the medina or the new city—as we prepare to explore this spiritual capital.
Day 5
Guided Tour of the City of Fez
Full day dedicated to exploring Fez, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. We begin with a guided tour of Fez el-Bali, the oldest and best-preserved medina in the Arab world, declared a World Heritage Site.
We will visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, considered the oldest in the world in continuous operation, the exquisite Madrasa Bou Inania, and the famous Chouara tanneries where we will observe the traditional hide-tanning process.
We will tour the specialized souks: Blacksmiths, carpenters, potters, weavers, perfumers, and other artisans working with ancestral techniques. We will also visit the Royal Palace (from the outside) and the historic Jewish quarter Mellah.
In the afternoon, a panoramic view of Fez from the nearby hills and free time for shopping and personal exploration. Overnight in Fez.
Day 6
Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel excursion – Camp.
Exit south through the Middle Atlas. First stop in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its Alpine architecture, cool climate, clean streets, and European atmosphere.
We continue towards the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to Morocco's last Barbary macaques. There is a chance to observe these unique primates in their natural habitat among the centuries-old cedars of this ancient forest.
we stopping by Midelt, known for its lead mines and strategically located between the Middle and High Atlas. Spectacular mountain scenery and a stop for lunch and a rest.
We crossed the spectacular Ziz Valley With its extensive palm groves and oases, we passed through Arfoud, famous for its fossils and dates, until reaching the dunes of MerzougaAt sunset, a camel ride to the Berber camp. A magical night under the Sahara stars.
Day 7
Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Gorges Del Dades
A magical sunrise in the Sahara Desert, followed by a camel ride back to the hotel. After breakfast, we will visit the traditional... Rissani market, former capital of Tafilalet and historical starting point for trans-Saharan caravans heading to sub-Saharan Africa.
We continue towards the spectacular... Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon with vertical limestone walls reaching 300 meters in height. We will walk through the gorge and enjoy the dramatic scenery and the cool atmosphere of the place.
We continue towards the Dadès Valley, known for its traditional kasbahs, lunar landscapes, and the famous "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs." The road winds through unique rock formations and small Berber villages.
We will explore the famous ones. Dadès Gorges with its unique rock formations known as "Monkey Fingers." Accommodation in the Dades Valley with spectacular views of the mountains and geological formations.
Day 8
Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech.
After breakfast, we continued on to the beautiful Valley of the Roses, famous for its Damask rose plantations and natural cosmetic products. During the season (April–May), you can enjoy the rose festival and its fragrances.
Arrival in Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa". Optional visit to the Atlas Studios where numerous international films such as *Gladiator*, *Lawrence of Arabia*, and *The Mummy*, as well as series like *Game of Thrones*, have been filmed.
We will visit the iconic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for appearing in numerous film productions. We will explore this impressive 11th-century adobe fortress, considered one of the most beautiful in Morocco.
Return trip to Marrakech through the majestic mountains of High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest in Morocco. Arrival in Marrakech and overnight stay.
Day 9
Guided tour of Marrakech.
A full day dedicated to discovery Marrakech with a comprehensive guided tour. We begin by exploring the main monuments: the Koutoubia Mosque with its impressive 12th-century minaret, the lush Majorelle Garden, and the elegant Bahia Palace.
We continue through the medina, visiting the famous traditional souks where you can admire and buy local handicrafts: rugs, spices, Berber jewelry, leather goods, lamps, and more. We will also visit the historic Saadian Tombs and the Ben Youssef Madrasa.
In the afternoon, free time in the world-famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square to enjoy the unique atmosphere with its storytellers, Gnawa musicians, snake charmers, orange juice vendors, and delicious traditional food stalls.
Optional farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant featuring Moroccan music and dance. Overnight stay in Marrakech for our final night.
Day 10
Marrakech – Free Time and Marrakech Airport Transfer
Last day of our incredible 10-day full-day trip through Morocco. After breakfast, Free time in Marrakech for last-minute shopping in the souks, relaxing at the hotel, or exploring some special corner of the city we might have overlooked.
Possibility of visiting one traditional hammam to relax after the journey, enjoy a Moroccan massage, or simply have a mint tea on a terrace with panoramic views of the city and the Atlas Mountains.
Time to pick up extra souvenirs, visit a museum we haven't seen yet, take a final stroll through the city gardens, or simply enjoy the last moments in this imperial city.
Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Marrakech airport where our full 10-day journey through Morocco will conclude. Farewell and end of services. We hope this trip has been the experience of a lifetime!
